Yasa’s father tracks his son’s footprints to the Buddha. The Buddha uses psychic power to conceal Yasa temporarily while he teaches the father. The discourse leads the father to become the first three-refuge lay disciple. Meanwhile, Yasa, listening in, attains full liberation. When revealed, Yasa receives full ordination. Later, the Buddha visits Yasa’s mother and former wife, who also attain insight and become dedicated lay disciples.
