21 The Boxer Monk

high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Boxer Monk from The Life of Ajahn Mun together with further information.

A former famous boxer ordained and came to practice under Ajahn Mun, unknowingly carrying ten pictures of boxers in his bag. Each night Ajahn Mun saw him shadowboxing in meditation visions and confronted him publicly. The terrified monk eventually admitted his past, and the pictures were found and burned. The visions ceased, and Ajahn Mun remained especially kind to him thereafter.
