The seven factors of awakening are not progressive steps toward enlightenment, but the very components that constitute it. True enlightenment requires a pure, unprejudiced mind free from attachment and bias. This allows for a total revolution in living—seeing reality exactly as it is. While individual factors can dynamically balance a sluggish or over-active mind, it is the harmony of all seven, anchored by mindfulness, that realizes complete inner freedom.
