Drokmi Śākya Yeshe (992–1072) was a prolific translator and the foundational figure of the Sakya tradition’s Path and Result (Lamdré) teachings. He spent many years in India studying under great mahāsiddhas like Virūpa. Upon returning to Tibet, he transmitted these esoteric instructions to Khön Könchok Gyalpo. His focus on strict translation and the synthesis of tantric practice with scholastic study defined the intellectual and meditative rigor that became the hallmark of the Sakya lineage.
