Longchen Rabjam (1308–1364) was a master of the Nyingma school and arguably the greatest philosopher of the Dzogchen tradition. He systematically organized the disparate Nyingma teachings into the Seven Treasuries, which remain the most profound expositions of the Great Perfection view. His writings bridge the gap between the intellectual mind and the primordial nature of reality. For Nyingmapas, Longchenpa is the omniscient guide who clarified the deepest mysteries of the mind’s natural state.
