Reborn as a noble warhorse, the Bodhisatta was tasked with helping a brave knight defeat seven invading kings surrounding Benares. After successfully capturing six kings, the horse was severely wounded. Seeing his rider prepare an inferior horse for the final battle, the Bodhisatta insisted on being re-armored, charging in to capture the seventh king. Before dying, he advised the king to show mercy, maintain righteousness, and reward the knight generously.
