In Taxila, a brahmin raised the Bodhisatta as the bull Nandivisāla. To repay his kindness, the bull suggested a wager to pull one hundred loaded carts. When the brahmin called him a rascal, the bull refused to move, causing a loss. After the brahmin switched to pleasant speech, calling him a fine fellow, the bull successfully pulled the massive load. This proves kind words bring success, unlike harsh, hurtful speech.
