Living in hiding after an assassination attempt, the Pandavas attend the Swayamvara of Princess Draupadi. Arjuna, disguised as a Brahmin, succeeds in the impossible task of piercing a revolving target with an arrow. He wins Draupadi’s hand, but due to a misunderstanding of their mother Kunti’s command, she becomes the common wife of all five brothers. This union secures a vital political alliance with the powerful Drupada kingdom.
