With the thirteen-year exile complete, the Pandavas demand their kingdom back, but Duryodhana refuses any peaceful settlement. Both sides seek alliances with kings across India. Krishna attempts a final peace mission to the Kuru court, but he is insulted and nearly captured. Realizing that diplomacy has failed and Duryodhana’s greed is absolute, both factions assemble their massive armies on the field of Kurukshetra for an inevitable war.
