After Bhishma's fall, the preceptor Drona takes command. He utilizes complex military formations like the Chakravyuha, leading to the tragic death of Arjuna’s son, Abhimanyu. On the fifteenth day, the Pandavas use a deceptive report of the death of Drona's son, Ashwatthama, to break his spirit. As Drona lays down his weapons to meditate, he is beheaded by Dhrishtadyumna, leaving the Kaurava army leaderless and deeply shaken.
