The war ends with the death of Duryodhana and the near-total annihilation of both armies. The surviving Pandavas, along with the grieving women led by Queen Gandhari, visit the battlefield to perform the last rites for the fallen. The scale of the carnage is immense. During the rituals, Kunti reveals the secret of Karna's birth, leaving the Pandavas devastated to learn they have killed their own eldest brother.
