high-definition creative commons posters depicting Āputra from The Epic of Maṇimēkhalai together with further information.

The monk tells the story of Āputra, a noble Brahmin child abandoned at birth and raised by a cowherd. He becomes a generous protector of the hungry and establishes a charity feeding station, but is driven out by ungrateful people. He travels to the island of Maṇipallavam, where he accidentally destroys the magic bowl and, after facing profound loneliness and despair, finally gives up his mortal life.
