At eighty-eight, Marpa declares that Nāropa and hosts of ḍākas and ḍākiṇīs have come to escort him. After offering the sevenfold service, he passes into dharmadhātu amid rainbows, flowers, and music. His body remains unburned as a wish-fulfilling relic. Ngokpa later takes the body to Shung and enshrines it in a stūpa. The biography concludes with a colophon by Trakthung Gyalpo and a translator’s colophon by Chökyi Gyatso.
