The Prologue
high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Prologue from The Life of Milarepa together with further information.
The Prologue introduces the extraordinary life story of Jetsün Milarepa, a supreme Tibetan saint. Born into a family that faced tragedy after his father’s death, Milarepa initially carried out wrathful magic against hostile relatives. However, filled with renunciation, he surrendered life and limb to the dharma under an authentic lama. Through intensive solitary meditation, he overcame all afflictions, mastered miraculous powers, and ultimately achieved full buddhahood, liberating countless sentient beings.
