09 Determination
high-definition creative commons posters depicting Determination from The Life of Milarepa together with further information.
Returning to his homeland, Milarepa discovers his home in ruins, his sister missing, and sacred texts damaged by vermin. Overcome with grief upon finding his mother’s bleached bones, he applies his lama’s instructions to liberate her consciousness. With help, he crafts sacred figurines from her bones to place inside a stupa. Moved by the impermanence of worldly life, Milarepa vows to dedicate himself entirely to dharma meditation at Drakar Taso.
