16. The Lean Cat and the Fat Cat

high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Lean Cat and the Fat Cat from the Pañcatantra together with further information.

A starving house cat visits a well-fed palace cat. Lured by tales of luxury, the lean cat ignores her master’s warnings and sneaks into the king’s banquet. However, guards are waiting with bows to catch thieves. The lean cat is wounded and flees, realizing that the safety of a humble home is far better than the dangerous risks of luxury.
