King Arindama of Suci, renowned for his extreme generosity, willingly surrenders his kingdom to the king of devas, Sakka, who is disguised as a brahman. Proceeding on foot, Arindama sells both his queen and himself into slavery to pay a debt. When their newborn son dies, the queen wanders to Arindama’s gate. By a solemn Act of Truth, Arindama revives the boy, prompting Sakka to restore their kingdom.
