20 Prince Sattadhanu

high-definition creative commons posters depicting Prince Sattadhanu from Fifty Lannā Jātaka Stories together with further information.

Prince Sattadhanu, the Bodhisatta, is born alongside a magical flying horse, Maṇikakkha. He wins Princess Cirappabhā’s hand after proving his superior archery skills. On their journey home, a yakkha captures his horse, and a violent shipwreck separates the couple. Cirappabhā builds a hall illustrated with their story to find him. After escaping a yakkhinī and retrieving Maṇikakkha, Sattadhanu locates the hall, reunites with his wife, and teaches the yakkha morality.
