Born as Candakumāra, the Bodhisatta sailed to Suvaṇṇabhumi, using his wealth to buy and release captured animals, earning immense merit. When his ship foundered, the ocean goddess Maṇimekhalā rescued him, carrying him safely to land. There, a royal carriage chose him as the new king. He ruled righteously with Princess Sibbali, receiving miraculous gifts from grateful animals and the god Sakka, before finally ascending to heaven as a future Buddha.
