36 Brahmin Velāma
high-definition creative commons posters depicting Brahmin Velāma from Fifty Lannā Jātaka Stories together with further information.
The Bodhisatta, born as the Brahmin Velāma, establishes immense charity for seven years, giving countless treasures to all Jambudīpa. Yet he finds no worthy recipients—not even one who keeps the precepts. The Buddha teaches Anāthapiṇḍika that giving to a single noble disciple far exceeds those vast gifts.
