47 Quarrelsomeness

high-definition creative commons posters depicting Quarrelsomeness from Fifty Lannā Jātaka Stories together with further information.

A crow joins a colony of birds, claiming to keep precepts, but eats their chicks while their parents gather food. The birds discover his deceit and attack him. The Bodhisatta, born as a sārika bird, admonishes the crow and teaches that the wicked and good cannot mix. The Buddha identifies Devadatta as the crow and himself as the sārika.
