King Ajita gives the Saṅgha a wish-fulfilling tree. The Buddha recounts how, in the time of Kassapa Buddha, the Bodhisatta gave a leaf-hut and requisites to a monk. As a result, he became the cakkavatti king Sudassana, endowed with seven jewels, 84,000 cities, and a lifespan of 330,000 years. The Buddha identifies himself as Sudassana, teaching that gifts to the Saṅgha yield great fruit.
