03 The Divine Mission

high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Divine Mission from Seven Taoist Masters together with further information.

For twelve years Wang Ch’ung-yang feigns illness in his study until his spirit can leave his body at will. The Lord of T’ai-pa orders him to Shantung Province to find his seven disciples. He vanishes from the locked room, but finds only fame-seekers and fortune-seekers. Rebuked by Lü and Chung-li Ch’üan, who split a mountainside, he hides in a Mount Chung-nan cave, then journeys to Ning-hai disguised as a beggar.
