high-definition creative commons posters depicting Offering His Head from Seven Taoist Masters together with further information.

The herb gatherer frees Ch’iu Ch’ang-ch’un, who abandons his fear of death. At a wide stony river he builds a shack and ferries travelers across for six years. Three men dressed as police captains test him; when the bandit’s head is swept away, Ch’iu offers his own. The Heavenly Lords grant him an immortal body. Later he is humbled at the fortune-teller’s, monsters of the mind return, and Heaven calls.
