The Venerable Dabba, an arahant, is authorized to assign lodgings and meals. Jealous monks Mettiya and Bhūmajaka, who receive poor lodgings and food, bribe the nun Mettiyā to accuse Dabba of sexual misconduct. Dabba declares his innocence, even in dreams. The Buddha removes the nun and investigates. The monks confess to inciting her. The Buddha gives Dabba a verdict of innocence.
