04 Mettagū’s Questions
high-definition creative commons posters depicting Mettagū’s Questions from The Way to the Beyond together with further information.
Mettagū asks about the origin of suffering and how the wise cross the flood. The Buddha explains that suffering arises from attachment and craving; the wise, having understood this, cross the flood by abandoning delight in sense pleasures. He teaches that one should be mindful, not cling to anything, and thus attain Nibbāna.
